Wood
Lumber carries IKO Chateau which is an asphalt shingle with a 35 year
limited warranty. These shingles are laminated with two heavy layers of
asphat-saturated organic mat for superior performance in all weather
conditions. High contrast color blends and deep, wide shadow bands
combine to create a breathtakingly beautiful roof.
IKO Cambridge
is also an architectural shingle with a 30 year limited warranty. The
Cambrige has exceptional strength and durability due to their double
layer of extra-heavy fiberglass mat and tough modified sealant.
Wood
Lumber also carries Certainteed Independence Shangle, another choice in
an architectural shingle. The Independence combines the luxury of slate
with the rich depth of wood shakes for a natural, dimensional look.
Traditional (3 tab) Shingles
Wood
Lumber carries the IKO Aristocrat and the Certainteed XT25( formerly
known as Seal King). Both are traditional, 3 tab shingles which stand
the test of time in all types of weather.

Decking
When it comes to decking, Wood Lumber has wide variety of choices and designs.
Treated
Wood Lumber was carrying
environmentally friendly treated lumber before it was required by the
EPA. The ACQ preservative in Preserve Plus treated wood is copper plus
quat that provides the same level of protection to wood as CCA
preservatives against decay, rot and termite attack without the use of
arsenic and chromium.
Wood Lumber has a full range of dimensions:
2x4, 2x6, 2x8 and 2x12
4x4, 4x6, 6x6 and
1x8 and 5/4 x 6
Preserve
Plus has many building applications including: decking, piers and
docks, trellis and lattice, playground equipment and outdoor furniture.
Meranti ( Mahogany)
Wood
Lumber carries Kayu Dark Red Meranti decking. Meranti has a unique,
long lasting beauty which is easy to maintain. Meranti is naturally
resistant to decay and insects and is used extensively in the boat
building industry. Meranti can be stained or painted.
Meranti is available in the following dimensions: 1x4, 2x4, 1x8, 2x6, 4x4 also available are handrails and balusters.
Ipe
Known
as the “Outdoor Hardwood Floor”, Ipe is durable, low in maintenance and
beautiful. Ipe meets top ratings for strength, hardness and durability.
Used on the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk, Ipe remains smooth and
virtually splinter-free for years and years. Left natural Ipe weathers
to a silver patina. An outdoor finish can be periodically applied to
maintain the natural color which ranges from a golden russet to a
classic reddish brown.
Wood Lumber stocks Ipe in 1x4 with a variety of lengths.
Other Choices in Wood Decking Products
Wood
Lumber also carries Vertical Grain Fir and Port Orford Cedar. Both have
been popular deck products on the Cape. VG Fir comes in 1x4 S4S and VG.
Port Orford Cedar is stocked in 5/4 x 6 and 5/4 x 4.
Composite Decking
New
Product Wood Lumber recently added Procell decking systems to
inventory. Procell is a solid core, cellular PVC technology that
contains no wood fillers to compromise performance. This product is
strong, but lighter than other decking materials. No pre-drilling is
required for screw installation. Superior stain and mold resistant,
this has been well received in the market. Wood Lumber stocks 5/4 X 6
procell in 12’ and 16’ lengths.
Wood Lumber carries fiberon
brand composite decking. With the beauty of wood, this strong and
durable material makes splitting, warping and cupping a thing of the
past. Fiberon is textured to be slip resistant when wet. Fiberon
installs like wood with no special tools necessary.
Fiberon also has a rail system available.
